Anthracite Curling Club is featured on the most recent edition of Cougar Cast, a student TV production at Misericordia University.
The crew’s visit coincided with the formation of that school’s Curling Club, and four students who recently joined as members. Have a look below (we’re exactly 7 minutes into the broadcast):
Anthracite Curling Club President Alison Piatt is going it alone this weekend in Washington, D.C., at the Kayser 2011 bonspiel.
Alison is playing with Team Atkinson this weekend as the team’s Vice. Best of all, to watch her draws you needn’t drive 3 or 4 hours to get there. Potomac Curling Club is streaming the bonspiel action live on the Web. Continue reading →

Tonight marks Anthracite Curling Club’s latest Saturday Night Curling at The Ice Rink at Coal St. Park in Wilkes-Barre. We take the ice at 10 p.m. and play until Midnight.
The Club is actively pursuing new members and Saturday Night Curling is a fun, relaxed way to introduce yourself to curling and get some one-on-one instruction from our senior members. Once you pick up the basics, you’ll be eager for our next Saturday Night Curling event on March 5.
The cost for non-members is $25. College students receive a $5 discount if you bring a proper ID. Arrive a few minutes early so we can start instruction as soon as possible.
You’ll want to wear warm, comfortable clothing (a knit hat and a fleece will do if you’re “always cold”) and clean sneakers with a good tread on the soles. Anthracite Curling Club provides the rest of what you’ll need.
