Anthracite Curling Club President Alison Piatt is going it alone this weekend in Washington, D.C., at the Kayser 2011 bonspiel.
Alison is playing with Team Atkinson this weekend as the team’s Vice. Best of all, to watch her draws you needn’t drive 3 or 4 hours to get there. Potomac Curling Club is streaming the bonspiel action live on the Web.
Here is video of the team’s first draw, a 10-9 extra-end victory over Team Benson. NOTE: This is the full draw and takes a while to watch. At the beginning, Alison’s draw is happening on the left sheet but the camera is focused on the sheet to right. The announcers are watching the correct match. Try skipping ahead to the 1 hour, 19 minute mark of the first video. Also, the draw is continued on the second video box. It picks up at a critical point in the match-up.
