Tuesday couldn’t have gone any easier for Stacey feat. The Ice Techs. The undefeated leaders at Summerspiel earned a forfeit victory over a mostly-absent Happy Hour crew to move to 4-0 at the summer tournament.
Team Binghamton had one of its best nights on the ice in disposing of Team Piatt, 8-1, on Sheet 2. The win keeps the team within reach of first place with a draw against the leaders this Tuesday. A win in that game would force a two-way tie for first place at Summerspiel.
On Sheet 3, Platoon earned its second consecutive win of Summerspiel by defeating Cracked Ice.
In the first-ever draw on Sheet 4 at Anthracite Curling Club, Squirrels earned a 4-3 win over Bitter End, keeping the team alive for a first-place finish at Summerspiel. If Binghamton defeats SfIT on Tuesday and Squirrels wins it final draw, there will be a three-way tie for first place.

It’s Day 4 of Summerspiel and it’s the final day in which just three draws will be held during a two-hour curling session at Anthracite Curling Club.
Late last week, our shipment of three sets of stones arrived from Brooks Curling Club in Alberta, Canada, and after the final two teams take their Bye weeks in Summerspiel this week, we’ll be playing four draws at the same time in Club history.
That shouldn’t downplay the excitement on the ice for Tuesday’s three draws. Two teams with wins in their first two games will be looking to keep pace with the tournament’s overall leaders while four teams will be looking for their first win at Summerspiel. Continue reading
