Here are the individual draw reports from Tuesday night’s opening round of the 2012 Anthracite Curling Club Championship.
Team Kerrick eased to its first victory of the season after scoring 3 in the first end and holding Team Cawley off the board in the first-ever game for many members of the team.

Team Keeler scored in four straight ends, frustrating Cracked Ice (Karampilas) in the season opener. After scoring a point in the 1st end, Karampilas was not able to get back on the board until the final end. Russ Keeler was able to steal four points in the win.

The defending champs pulled away in the 6th end with four points to defeat the Bruce Baessler-led side. Goodies nearly erased an early 4-0 deficit with three points of its own in the third end. Both team exchanged a point with the Hammer before Matt Lyons was able to direct his team to big points in the final end.

Happy Hour was able to score four points in the 3rd after allowing Team Sophy to steal three in the first two ends to take control of a close draw on Sheet 4. Eddie Perrino’s team stole a point in the 4th and 5th ends and did just enough in the final end to prevent a comeback.
