A new addition to the scoreboards this week are a sign of near-completion on that project. Ice Tech Brandon Jackson says the new scoreboard project is just about finished and he was pushing to get them done in time for the bonspiel this weekend.
Stacks of white tiles await numbers and there is still some assembly required for the remainder of the new scoreboards, which are sturdier, more durable, and mobile.
The first of four scoreboards has been on full display and in use for several weeks now. That means the days of that cumbersome folding device are numbered.
This week will feature the addition of the Hammer tile to the scoreboard. It gets placed on the team that wins the Hammer in the 1st end.
