When you watch the Opening Ceremonies tonight, you’ll eventually see Team USA enter the stadium wearing some pretty loud sweaters.
Actually, it’s a cardigan. And for once, the maker (Ralph Lauren) made sure to get the point across that these uniforms were actually made here in the USA. Whether you believe that or not is up to you.
Curling, of course, is not an American sport. The game has Scottish roots and in Scotland there is an abundance of two things: cold weather and wool. Today, curling is dominated by the Canadians, another place known for a less than temperate climate. And that’s what makes Team USA’s entrance uniforms for tonight so appropriate for curling.
