The opening night of 2013 Winter League saw the Fall League champs roll and another draw come down to the final shot.
House Hunters defeated Sons of Saddrat, 7-2, scoring all points between the 2nd and 6th ends, including four consecutive steals, to keep the Matt Lyons-led squad off the board most of the night.
In the other draw, Demented Magenta started the Winter League in the Win column with a Hammer shot decider. Brandon Jackson’s draw against 2 was inches closer than the closest Bonanza stone on the edge of the back 8-foot ring to give his team the victory, 6-5.
The teams traded hot streaks in the game, with the victors gaining a 5-0 lead over Bonanza through three ends only to watch it slip away over the next three.
