SUMMER SEASON NEARS END /
SUBSTITUTES NEEDED FOR AUG. 14 DRAWS
There are just two weeks left of scheduled curling games before the end of the Summer season. It’s gone by so quickly it seems. There are four more games and Substitutes are in high demand this week. Please reply if you’re a Sub and can play this week. One quick note to Skips of Vice-Skips: Please record your final scoreboard before sending the board to the storage room. Here are the Sheet assignments for this week’s games:

#2: Baessler vs. Perrino
#3: Kerrick vs. Keeler
#4: Jackson vs. Karampilas
On Tuesday, Aug. 28, Anthracite Curling Club will host its Third Annual FUNsPieL Final details are still being ironed out by the Social Committee but expect a great season’s-end event a little different from prior years. A Skillz Competition is in the works. We’ll also put out a spread of food/drink and your contributions will only make it better. Charlie and Char Hick will be bringing their propane grill.
Amy C. will have a sign-up sheet starting this Tuesday on League Night. If you can commit to something on her list or you have ideas of your own, let her know then. FALL CURLING SIGN-UPS
Even though the Summer season is coming to a close, that only means the Fall season is just a few weeks away. We’re currently fielding teams for two Leagues running through December. Each league will have a six-game schedule played bi-weekly (September – December). Consider joining one or both …
League 1: Mixed Novice League: Teams will be comprised of two experienced Club members and two in their first year.
League 2: Fall League: Teams can be comprised of any Club members, no restrictions on experience levels.
Reply to indicate your interest in joining one or both. There will also be a Sign-up sheet at League Night on Tuesday. Please remember that we’ll be reverting to our normal Saturday night schedule of 10-Midnight for the Fall League.
