Philadelphia rink fighting for place in Women’s Nationals

Team Sarah Anderson (Philadelphia Curling) is a win away from qualifying for the Women’s National tournament next month in Green Bay, Wisc.

This weekend they’re competing at the USA Women’s Challenge Round at Granite Curling Club in Seattle. There are six spots in the National tournament on the line.

After winning the first two draws, the GNCC representatives in the field suffered its first defeat but now has two chances to gain one of those six berths in the national field, either in the B or C event.

The first chance at cracking the field is at 9 a.m. Sunday. If they’re unsuccessful in that, they’ll have another chance at 2 p.m.
