Tonight’s draw mark the finale of the 2013 Spring League and the participants in the Championship game took a somewhat similar rugged path to get here.
At 5-3, Demented Magenta is back in another league final but earlier this year, after a quick start, their mettle was tested. Memories of a 2-0 start were quickly erased by a three-game losing streak right in the middle of the season. However, three wins over their rivals, Buffalo Bills eventually gave them a division title and a semifinals win to advance to tonight’s Final.
Happy Hour only recently got off the haggard trail but just in time. Jetting out to a 3-0 start was enough to get the team back in the playoffs but Happy Hour needed to stop a four-game losing streak they endured to finish the season to upset the previously-unbeaten Walrus & Mermaids to reach the Final.
The Spring League Championship is on Sheet 2 tonight at 7.
Walrus & Mermaids will play Goodies on Sheet 1 and Falcons will meet the Bills on Sheet 3 in tonight’s other draws.
