Anthracite Curling Club will host its second FunSpiel since the Club expanded earlier this year. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. at The Ice Rink at Coal Street Park.
A similar event was held just a few weeks ago, and served as inspiration for this season-ending event. That night marks the Club’s last scheduled event on the ice at the rink, and will bring an end to the 2010 summer season.
According to FunSpiel Chairwoman Monica Lynn, the time will feature open curling, where those who want to play will have their names placed into a hat and teams drawn randomly. The cost to curl is $20, which covers the cost of the rink rental for the evening.
