Anthracite Curling Club traveled to Plainfield (N.J.) Curling Club for its first-ever Friendly competition on Sunday. After working off some early rust, the Anthracite teams put tough tests to the Jersey curlers, narrowly missing an opportunity to split the six draws.
In the end, Plainfield took four the six draws and won the overall competition by a score of 148-78. The clubs used a special scoring system to judge the winning club. Each point scored in the game counts as a point to the Club’s overall score. Three more points are awarded to the Club for an End win. Winning the game is good for 10 club points.
Three teams from each club played two draws each.
