Demented Magenta says Cyan-ara to House Hunters, record at 2-0

Demented cemented its second straight victory to start the 2013 Winter League by scoring a steal of 6 in the 7th End, beating Fall League champs House Hunters, 11-1, on Saturday night.

At 2-0, Demented Magenta (Jackson, Ruschmann, Berkoski, Walter) is alone atop the early Winter League table. House Hunters (1-1) had its 7-game winning streak come to an end with the loss.

The road to victory for Demented Magenta was a slog until that final end. They stole a single point in each of the first four ends and scored another with the Hammer in the 6th End after allowing House Hunters just a single in the 5th.

In the other Winter League draw, Bonanza used a 3 in the 3rd and steals worth 3 more to ensure victory over Sons of Shaddrat, 6-4.

Sonzuh took the first two ends and a 2-0 before surrendering 3 and then 3 more to the Cartwrights over the next two ends. They threatened in the 6th End but could only get 2 scoring rocks to cut the deficit in half for the final score.
