Club members appointed to Board of Directors

The following members have been appointed to terms on the Club’s Board of Directors: Mark Dorval (1 year, expiring in Aug. 2013), Joe Raymer (2 years, Aug. 2014) and Thom Kivler (3 years, Aug. 2015). The Board has scheduled the following dates for meetings in 2013: Jan. 5, Feb. 2, and March 2.

Annual Meeting: Aug. 4, 4-6 p.m.

Anthracite Curling Club will hold its 2012 Annual Meeting at The Arena Bar and Grill along Coal St. in Wilkes-Barre. The meeting will be held from 4-6 p.m.

Aside from general business of the Club, there are several seats among the Board of Directors and Officers up for election. Your attendance is greatly appreciated

Annual Meeting Notice | Saturday, Feb. 4 @ 7:30

Anthracite Curling Club will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012. The meeting will be held in the “party” area at Ice Rink at Coal St. at 7:30 p.m.
Winter League and non-league curling will follow at 9:45 p.m. until midnight.
Among the items to be discussed at the meeting are the upcoming Club Championship league, 2012 memberships, an Anthracite-hosted bonspiel in late July 2012 and the election of a member to the Board of Directors. Continue reading →

Non-profit status motion approved, check in mail

Members of Anthracite Curling Club’s Board of Directors and members with a vote approved proposed by-laws which establish the Club as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.

This move allows the Club to operate in a different manner, including our ability to hold fundraisers.

Below is a link to our by-laws change which was approved by the Board of Directors at a special meeting on Feb. 19 at The Ice Rink at Coal St. Park in Wilkes-Barre.
