Happy Hour (Perrino) was able to frustrate the No. 1 seed Team Kerrick in the first round of the 2012 Club Championship Playoffs to earn a spot in the Finals on Tues., June 19.
The 8-0 victory gave the team a Bye past the Semifinal draw this Saturday night, where Team Kerrick will have a shot at redemption and to get into the Finals when it faces Team Sophy, an 8-3 winner over Cracked Ice (Karampilas) in the other First Round draw.
The winner of the Semifinal draw advances to the Finals on the 19th. The loser of that draw will play in the Consolation draw the same night. On the line in that match is a spot in the A League for at least the next three weeks.
The loser of that draw will be relegated to the B League for its next session and the winner of the ongoing first session of the Bs will be promoted to A for a Round Robin.
In B League action last Saturday, Team Keeler defeated a depleted Ice Techs (Lyons) side while Goodies (Baessler) earned its first win of the 2012 Spring/Summer season, defeating Team Cawley.
This week, Lyons faces Baessler and Cawley meets Keeler in the second round of the B League first session.
