Pool A, Round 1: Whitby, Anthracite start with wins

Whitby Curling defeated the rink from Plainfield, 8-4, in the opening round of Pool Play at the Diamond City bonspiel.

In the other draw, the home Anthracite side defeated the team from Philadelphia Curling, 7-1.
